sometimes sleep is hard to come by.....

For the first 3 months of her life, Ella slept pretty well - in our bed granted - but she did sleep. For the last 2 or 3 weeks though, something's changed and she at some point decided that she didn't want to sleep for 10-11 hours (waking once at night to eat). She instead decided that she wanted to spend more time with mom and dad through the night... which Seth and I weren't exactly on board with. She started waking up at least 3 times through the night, and sometimes more. We decided it was time to make a change in our sleeping arrangements. We'd tried before, but ended up with her back in our bed. ( you may remember an earlier post with me gloating about Ella sleeping in her crib for the first time..... I definitely spoke and posted too soon) At that point we felt that if she was sleeping well in our bed, we were happy that she was sleeping so well, so we'd leave things alone for the time being. But things have changed. I found a new "sleep training" method and worked up the courage to start it last night. There were definitely some tears but Ella did sleep in her crib last night! Hopefully things will get easier each night we work on this. Wish us luck!
