San Diego Trip

It's about time to post some of our pics from our trip to San Diego! I know, I know, we've kept you waiting for far to long - almost like torture. So here you go!

Grammy Sharon is a saint! 4 days, 3 nights. Although I get the feeling she kind of enjoyed herself. :) The kids did too. Thank you so much Mom for watching the kids so we could get away!

Another home Coug game this weekend, and this time, the kids came too! It was a hot day (93 degrees I think), so we stayed in the shade as much as possible. We ventured out to the track for a bit though, where they had set up some fun kid stuff.... bouncy house, bouncy slide, face painting, pics with Butch, etc. Ella had a blast and didn't even seem to notice the heat. We were very lucky to have seats given to us by a friend and they were on the shady side of the stadium - thank God! By the time halftime rolled around, the Cougs were in charge of UNLV and the heat was kicking our butts, so we packed up and headed back to Spokane in our air conditioned cars. Fun weekend! Thanks Gabe, Nancy and Jameson. Next week - we follow the Cougs to San Diego where they play San Diego State! Our first weekend away in a LONG time.....

It was Ella's first day of preschool today. She couldn't have been happier! No tears or worries for this girl.....

Lots to do

What didn't we do this weekend? Well, lots really, but we sure were busy! Gabe, Nancy and Jameson headed over for the first home Coug game. Thanks to Grammy Sharon and Papa Jim watching the kids, we had a kids free trip to Pullman to watch the Cougs win by 40 points! So fun! On Sunday, Nancy watched Luke for us and Seth, Ella and I headed to Silverwood - a themepark about 50 minutes away in ID (Gabe headed back to Pullman for golf at Palouse Ridge). We met up with Lynn, Tim and Isaac and it was a blast! Exhausting, but tons of fun. Roller coasters, kiddie rides and a huge water park. Next time, we'll make sure we have more time..... And then, on Monday we packed a picnic and headed over to Comstock Park up here on the South Hill for the yearly Labor Day Spokane Symphony concert in the park. It's such a wonderful event! People bring their blankets, chairs, food and wine and hang out for the evening, listening to fun music by the symphony. We loved it!
