Weekend Plans

Gabe and Nancy come for a visit tomorrow!! Hooray! The annual Coug Football scrimmage is Saturday in Pullman, so we're all heading down for that. Gabe's birthday was Tuesday, so we'll be celebrating that too. Let's hope the weather cooperates.

Happy Easter!

We had a busy weekend. Saturday we ran some errands and then headed up close to Mt Spokane to an Easter Egg Hunt/potluck. A woman from our church was hosting it. It was cold, but a good time. Ella found 1 egg, which she was more than content with. As long as we let Ella walk around investigating things on her own, she was so happy. Picking her up or holding her was not an option unless we wanted to hear a few screeches and screams. I am getting so nervous about having to get this girl on a plane in less than 2 months! She does not want to sit still! Anyway, Easter morning arrived and we headed to church. Seth sang in the choir, and I volunteered in the nursery (what was I thinking? on Easter Sunday?). After church we headed to Kristen's folks' place for a delicious dinner. Now all of a sudden it's late on Sunday and Monday is rolling around way too fast! Any way to stop it?

I'll post some pictures from the weekend soon....OH, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN!!! GLAD TO HEAR YOU HAD A GOOD DAY!

Love for Grandma & Grandpa

We have a couple little baby-friendly photo albums for Ella with pics of family and friends inside. In the last week or so, Ella's been pulling out the album with Tim and Margaret (Grandma & Grandpa in Rapid City), Maia, and Oliver - Seth's family. It's the cutest, sweetest thing ever. She points at them and talks her little Ella talk... and then once we communicate back that yes that's Grandma and Grandpa, she leans her head in and give them a "love". Here's a couple pics so you can see it for yourself.

Sunshine makes us happy!

I complain a little too much on the blog when the weather is bad around here. Well, to change the tune a bit, I'm happy to say it's been absolutely beautiful here the last 3 days straight! We hit 70 yesterday and that to me is perfect! Tomorrow things are supposed to cool off and the clouds will move in, but having a little taste of the sunny, warm weather will help us hold on until we see more of it in the next few weeks/months.

Si's Visit

Si came to visit us recently! She was here with her boyfriend Dave, stopping in for a few days at the beginning of a tour through the NW. They drove into town on the 28th and were here until the 31st - leaving for Portland/Vancouver from here and then on to Seattle before heading home. We had a great time catching up and Si and Dave were able to check out a bike trail or two while they were here. Oh, and while we were downtown we rode the carousel - a first for everyone but me, including Ella. The adults thought it was great, but Ella was not a huge fan. She wasn't exactly crying, but she had the biggest look of apprehension on her face the whole ride.

Puppy Love

My Mom & Dad got a new puppy last week, and they stopped by our house with him on their way home. Ella was facinated to say the least. But she definitely has the typical toddler attention span. She'd check out the puppy for a couple minutes and then move on to something else. Then she'd see the pup again and it was like she discovered him for the first time!

Come on, Spring!

It's April 2nd and we woke up this morning to 2-3 inches of snow. I know that isn't much, compared to what you all in Rapid City have been dealing with lately.... but we really want to see some sunshine and warmer temps around here. Along with the snow, we've been ambushed by a bug that's got Ella and me feeling under the weather. Ella hasn't been sick too often, so we have been really lucky over all. It's so tough to see your baby sick isn't it?
