Gotta Love the Cougs!!

Today we met up with my Mom and Dad in Pullman to watch the Cougs play their last home game this season. Gabe bought us tickets at a WSU function/auction in Seattle a few weeks ago - how nice is that!? We all met up at the new Palouse Ridge Golf Course for lunch...a really nice restaurant. Then we headed to Beasley for the game, and what a game it was!! Did anyone watch? We beat ASU by 2 in overtime with a 3 pointer by Taylor Rochestie. One of those dream shots that the whole coliseum was praying would go in, and it did! Rochestie is a senior this year, so it was his last game at home....I don't think there could be a better way to go out. By the way, did I mention that ASU is ranked #14 in the country (not to mention our win over UCLA last weekend!)? It's not always easy to be a Coug fan, but days like this make it all worthwhile!

Gabe, thank you for the tickets!

Oh, and we did take pictures.... I cannot find the cable to connect the camera to the computer, so haven't been able to download any pics for a while. It's gotta be around here somewhere, and when I find it - you'll see some pictures, I promise.

Mum's the word

No Mum does not mean "mom" in this case. It means nada. Ella is talking up a storm these days, BUT still in her own little language. She calls everything da-da, which was exciting for Seth at first, until she pointed at Serena and said it. While she isn't speaking actual words yet, she does hear and recognize them. Words like milk, cracker, bath, and even vacuum, get her really excited. It is the cutest thing to see her perk up when I tell her we're going to vacuum and then she dances around and shrieks when we turn it on. If only she was strong enough to push it around.... :) Just kidding, kind of.

Cheers to 40 Years!

We had a really great weekend! Our family pictures turned out so well, from what we can tell from the online proofs. We all had a really nice day, hanging out and eating a lot of fabulous food and drinking great wine. What a great reason to get together and celebrate! Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you!

Good looking family wouldn't you say?

Gearing up

We've got a big weekend planned. Saturday is my folks' 40th anniversary! Wow! Zac & Kristen, Gabe & Nancy and Seth & I are taking them out for a special dinner. I think we're all really looking forward to it. Saturday morning we are all getting together for a photo session with a local photographer for a family portrait. The Storments are not known to be the most photogenic group, but I think for this occasion we'll be all smiles and come out with some good shots. Fingers crossed.....

Happy Valentine's Day!

A day late.... but I'm hoping when it comes to blogging you still think it's the thought that counts.

Another Gonzaga game

After our night at the Gonzaga game last Saturday, we actually had tickets to the girls Gonzaga game Sunday afternoon. This time Ella came with us. We had the best time! We went to the game with Jason and Chrissy (JJ's parents), and they were also the ones to give us the tickets. Chrissy's parents have season tickets to all the Gonzaga basketball games, and lucky us, they gave us tickets so we could check out the McCarthey Athletic Center on Gonzaga's campus. It's pretty impossible to find a ticket to any of the guys games.... And let me tell you, these tickets were amazing. See for yourself.... Anyway, it was a great family outing. It was a really good game (even though the Zags lost by 2), and we scored with $1 hot dogs, sodas and popcorn. Thanks Petersons and Franceks!
we couldn't have been much closer

Ella loved all the action

A night out

Seth and I had tickets to the Gonzaga vs Memphis game last night at the arena here in town. So Grandma came up and stayed with Ella while we headed out for the night. Thank you Grammy Sharon! We met up with our friends Tom and Donna for a bite to eat before hand at Clinkerdagger's and then made our way to the arena. I won't say much about the game itself (Gonzaga didn't put up much of a fight), but we had such a great time! After the game we went to happy hour at Wild Sage - we'd never been - and I think we'll try to head back for dinner sometime.... nice place. It was so great to have a night out just for us! It's a win for everyone, because Grandma and Ella have a really good time together too.

The latest achievement

Ella has mastered climbing up onto the couch on her own. Yippee.....we are so NOT excited about this one. She, on the other hand, is so happy with herself!

1 Year Check-Up

I took Ella in for her one-year wellness visit yesterday. Dr. Thompson thinks she's doing great, and she has managed to catapult herself into the 12th percentile for weight! She is 19.1 pounds!! She'd never made it past the 5th percentile before, so our healthy eater is actually putting on some weight. After weigh-in, measurements and the check-up came the shots. Ouch and yuck! Ella is a trooper, and so far, she hasn't shown any reactions to the vaccinations.

New Pictures

Here's some new pics....sorry it's been so long!
