Talking Constantly

Ella seems to be talking constantly these days (but don't expect to see it for yourself as she seems to clam up when other people are around). When we're hanging out at home, Ella gives us a play by play of what she's doing from moment to moment. This has definitely proven useful because when she is quiet, we know to search out what trouble she's into. Oh, and the question I've known was out there and looming in my future has now made it's way into Ella's vocabulary.... WHY? For some reason I didn't think it would be here so soon. 2 years and 3 months and she's already asking why multiple times a day.....BECAUSE.

30 Weeks

Had a doctor's appointment today. Everything is on track....I'm pretty boring according to the doctor, which is a good thing to him and me. I passed the glucose test I'd taken a couple weeks ago. I figured when I didn't hear from anyone telling me differently. Also got my Rhogam shot, which is a must have because of my Rh negative blood type, and Seth's positive. Hitting 30 weeks is freaking me out a bit.... this baby will be here SOON!

I found Ella a big sister book today and she seems to love it. Don't know if it's really going to be real for her until we have had her little brother in the house for a week or so though.... no matter how many books we get.

A visit to Gabe & Nancy's too!

While Ella and I were in Seattle (see post below), we were also able to hang out for a couple days with Gabe & Nancy. In the little time that we were there, Ella became addicted to the nearby playground. She LOVED playing with Uncle Gabe on the bridges and slides, and walking through the "forest" to get there. Gabe got the pleasure of hanging out with 2 pregnant ladies through the weekend, not to mention a 2 year old. Oh, how life has changed! :) If I haven't mentioned it here before, Nancy's expecting a baby in late July, so Ella and our new little guy will have a cousin! We're all really excited! Thanks for having us G & N - we'll see you soon!

Baby Addison

Our friends Lynn and Tim welcomed their baby girl into the world this past Tuesday. Addison Kendell Fosler was born on 3/16/2010 and is healthy and so precious! Ella and I were planning on making the trip over to stay with their little boy Isaac when Lynn had her scheduled c-section on 3/22/10....but Addison had other plans and came a little early. So Ella and I headed over the day after she was born and stayed until Lynn and Tim headed home with Addison.

A midnight request for Jingle Bells

Did I mention that Ella fell in love with the song Jingle Bells at Christmas time? Well it became part of our bedtime routine, and it's still in the rotation, even though it's now March. Ella calls it "Jingle All the Way". As most 2 year olds do, she is working on perfecting her manipulation skills with Seth and I, and the other night she woke up in the middle of the night (it happens every now and then). If we got up and ran in every time she wanted us to, none of us would ever sleep. She stays in her bed, but cries from there and usually just calls out for Mommy or Daddy. The other night we heard: "Daddy sing jingle all the way." One of those moments that makes you smile but breaks your heart at the same time. We didn't honor the request, but don't worry, she was back to sleep in just a few minutes on her own.

Mobius Kids' Museum

Ella and I ventured downtown yesterday with our friends Pamela and Eliana. They have a new membership to the kids' museum at Riverpark Square and invited us to join us by using a couple of their free passes. We had a blast.... Eliana and Ella explored and Pamela and I got to catch up. We had to make a quick exit when the fire alarm started going off and they asked everyone to leave (still not sure what happened). We took the bus downtown, so that in itself was pretty exciting....Thanks Starbucks for a fun morning!
