Luke Pics - 8 months

How is it possible that 8 months have gone by? Luke is an amazing addition to our family. He is such a laid back little guy, who's always got a smile. He's a great eater, is sitting up, has a grip stronger than mine, is making any loud noise he can come up with (squawks, raspberries, screeches, laughs and grunts). He loves to stand and hold himself up (with our help), but so far isn't pulling himself up. He knows how to roll over, but doesn't really seem all that interested in doing so (part of that laid back personality). I'm guessing that crawling is a while off, but I have no complaints. There are way too many tiny princess shoes around here that I've got to banish to higher ground......No teeth yet either, and again, no complaints. Sleeping through the night still isn't happening. I dream about that day. With the kids sharing a room , it's been a little rough, but we'll get there. Uninterrupted hours of sleep or not, we feel so blessed to have this little boy in our lives!

Surviving the Dentist

Align Left

Ella had her first visit to the dentist this week. She was amazing! I think Seth and I had braced ourselves for a tough scene. Most parents probably do I'm guessing. I hated the dentist when I was little, but Ella doesn't have any history yet and was just fine. A little comforting from Lovey and she was a perfect patient. The dentist said everything looks great too - hoorah! So proud!!

A rare night out

Seth's company hosted a very nice after the holidays, holiday party on Saturday. It was out at Northern Quest Casino, in one of their lounges. Zac & Kristen were nice enough to watch the kids for us, so Seth and I had a night out - the first since my birthday in September. Thank you so much Z & K!! It was a great party and more importantly, was such a treat to get out for a night!

Time for School

So Ella went to her first official day of preschool on Friday. A 2 and 1/2 hour class once a week. According to her teacher, Ella did great! From what I can tell she really loved it too. Aside from the mega-meltdown she had when it was time to go home, I think school is going to be such a good thing for her. Some structure in a classroom setting, make some new friends..... It will be nice for me too. A little one on one time with Luke, and it may give me a little time to get something accomplished some Fridays.

Sharing the bath

In an attempt to get Luke on more of a routine at bedtime, and since he can sit up pretty well on his own now, we've started putting him in the bath with Ella at night. Ella loves it of course, but can't seem to leave him alone. He has a hard time acheiving much of his own personal space around here.
