Where, oh where has our good little eater gone? Dinnertime has become a battle at our house over the last few weeks. Breakfast is relatively easy, lunch isn't too bad, but when dinner rolls around, Ella makes sure Seth and I are on our toes. She pretty much refuses to sit in her high chair - screaming and thrashing around after only a couple minutes and bites if we're lucky enough to get anything in her mouth while she's there. Honestly, a lot of nights Ella eats dinner running back and forth from us for bites while she plays. Or she'll eat bites off our plates while we eat, sitting between us on the couch. One thing I've finally given in to (probably should have done this a long time ago) is letting Ella just dive into her food in her highchair. She may make the biggest mess in the world and end up with just as much in her hair as her mouth, but at least she's eating! Half the time this seems to keep her happy... Dinner has not been a peaceful time around here lately. This is a phase right? Oh Lord, please let this be short-lived!

22 months and dinner is still the least favorite part of my day. sorry. Girls seem to catch on sooner though so there is probably hope for you and Seth.
I'm still that way around dinner.
EVERYTHING is a phase at this age.... just when you think you've got something figured out... BOOM.. randomness!! ohhh... the woes of toddlerhood! hang in there guys!!
ps. I remember reading somewhere that you should take the average of a couple of days when it comes to toddlers and their eating instead of meal by meal :)
